“Love the Lord Your God with all your heart and with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength”. - Mark 12:30

The Sermons of Jesus Christ is encapsulated in this bible verses. This implies that God is interested not as mere part of a person’s life but a commitment of his life in its entirety. The Sermons on the Mount is one of Jesus’ greatest teachings which gives people a good view of how God is forming his nation as part of his family clearly stated in John 15:5, “I am the vine, and you are the branches”.

The eight Beatitudes are just one of the many sermons Jesus Christ has taught his people. As Earthly possessions, power and honor become one of today’s precedence; the Kingdom of God has differing standards that is a complete contradictory of what this world offers and brings about.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Poor in spirit denotes the humble and self-effacing way of living with a realization that all things come from God and all things are meant for him. It is through having a complete surrender of a person’s possessions and giving back the talents to glorify the Father is what poor in spirit is about. This is clearly stated in Matthew 22:15-21 ‘’Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s”. Hence, give what should be given to God – your full service and love. To Caesar’s means mankind’s lawful taxes and rules that do not belong in the Kingdom of God.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Mourning in the sense of deep repentance of what separates man from the Heavenly Father - sins. When you mourn an

d regret all the sins you committed, is committing and will commit, you exude a humble heart which in turn will be reassured by the Lord Jesus. "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." The sense of passivity in spirit and a total obedience to the lord, in his plans and wills blesses a man beyond his hopes and anticipations.

"Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." A never ending quest to attain moral righteousness and sanctity will be given fulfillment by the Almighty Father in Heaven. “Give yourselves to God; Surrender your whole being to him to be used for righteous purposes”. Romans 6:13.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." Remember what the Lord said, whatever you do to his brethren, you do to God. Therefore, spread mercy and offer a forgiving heart as the Father is filled with compassion.

"Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God." A person will never attain pureness of the heart unless he becomes like a child pure of innocence and humility.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." Do not just love in peace but bring peace to your brothers in Christ Jesus.

"Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." Martyrdom in faith and Christ’s sake is a sign of a true believer, therefore whoever is persecuted in the name of the Lord likewise persecute the Lord.

May Jesus’ sermons be the guiding light as you traverse the path of life until the time you enter the Kingdom of Heaven with your Heavenly Father awaiting.
